It had not taken Phasia long to get used to the unique sound the Icarus made as it moved through the void wrapped in a protective shell of real space. The FTL used warping technology that created a safe field inside while allowing the vessel to break the Einstein barrier of light speed.
Alone and in the lower aft section of the Tereshkova class command frigate, Phasia sat cross-legged on the steel-paneled floor staring out the large porthole that gave a view of the outside and the left pulse engine. They were presently cold having no need to run while traversing through warped space. She knew from experience they would be heated up when they got near exiting and that wouldn’t be for another two months.
Gosh, I love to write.
I also know that I’m stating the obvious but as I sit back and look at the new novella I release, I can’t say that I don’t enjoy the satisfaction of going from 0 to complete. There is just something about seeing my work out there and gives me a sense of accomplishment.
That being said, I am happy to announce the release of The Bastion at the Edge of The Universe, a pulp influenced story that I started back in 2014 on the now-defunct Jukepop series website and finally got completed (cause the story needed to be completed).
You can, of course, find them in their usual spot through the universal book link or on smashwords.com.
I would love to hear your input even if you don’t like it. I can’t improve unless I get feedback and even if you read it and don’t say anything, I appreciate you taking the time to download it.
I don’t know about you, but there are a few projects that I have had for so long, you wonder if you’ll ever get them completed. Jassik Creed & The Meek Prince was one such book that started in 2010 after the release of the first book Mermaids of Emerald Lagoon and languished for eight years.
It is finally time. It has taken quite a while to get it done but I am finally able to release it. I am proud to announce the release of the second book in the Star Traveler Series! As of this post, Dead in Space is available both on Smashwords.com and Amazon.com!
After taking the leap into deep space, the crew of the Icarus must traverse the long void between star clusters. Everything would have gone according to plan if it was not for a simple error on the part of a manufacturer. Facing death in space or an ancient trap, Captain Sinclair Barrett must make decisions that could seal the fate of the entire crew. Will he make the right one or will they be forever stuck in orbit of a dead world?
Where can you get it?
Over the year, since I released both Sword of Shadows and Kaon Rising, I have been working hard on getting some more stories told. Life has been very hectic on me which in turn has not given me much time to work on them. I thought it was time to give you an update on what to expect for the rest of the year.
Jassik Creed & the Meek Prince
Yes, I am still developing this one, and there is only 20% left to do on the first draft. There is still editing to be done, so I’m not looking at a release until December of this year. All the art is done, and I am hoping to release samples of it in the future!
Star Traveler 2: Dead in Space
This story went really well but hit a few snags that I was not anticipating both with my work schedule and with some plot issues I did not catch on the outline. 60% of the story is written, and I’m hoping to have the rest done by September of this year
Blood in Space: Harvest
I love this story, but it doesn’t love me. I keep struggling with getting it on paper due to writer’s block. I know there is something subconscious that I need to fix, but it has yet to come to me when I write it. I get to put a few words on paper when I have a moment, but it sits only 40% done. I do want to finish it because I thoroughly enjoy this one but it might not be until January of next year.
I have a whole bunch of other stories I want to write, and I might release them here and there when the energy hits me, but the biggest part that I have been fighting is writer’s block due to the stress and exhaustion from my job. I just find myself sitting at a computer screen staring at the words wishing the great ideas I just had would finally come out. Have no fear, I haven’t given up yet, and I will get these done. I love them, and they each hold a special part of my heart.
It has been a long time since I’ve written in a blog. I think about a year ago when my original one was taken down thanks to some hackers getting past the nucleus install and put their porn ads all over the comments. Oh, well.
Now, as I’m trying to get back in to the world of writing for the year of 2014, I have decided that I do need a blog to keep up the practice and to talk like I used to. I’ve missed the enjoyment of sitting and writing something with no pressure nor any care who or what is reading it.
So, stay tuned for more writings from me and I hope I do not bore you all to death.
